Nikolaus is currently working as Project Manager for Site & Digitalization Projects within Bayer Pharmaceuticals’ Product Supply organization. He is a trained chemical engineer and holds a PhD in “Biochemical Engineering” with a strong focus on digital topics throughout his academic and professional career. Here, he has gained industrial experience regarding digitalization topics during previous engagements at Linde Engineering as well as during the International Future Leadership Program at Bayer. His passion lies in interdisciplinary topics, particularly making use of cutting-edge digital solutions for real world problems, namely in biotech, to provide benefit for patients and the planet.
Thomas Halfmann brings more than 25 years of experience in pharmaceutical manufacturing digitalization, IT, and automation. He held senior leadership roles at Novartis, where he managed global MES programs and biopharmaceutical operations IT. Later, he co-founded Halfmann Goetsch Partner, which became a leading consultancy for life sciences manufacturing. Today, as Principal Advisor at consigliere tom gmbh, Thomas supports global pharma companies in shaping human-centric Smart Factories and implementing 360° Connectivity to deliver real adoption and measurable impact.
