David Margetts is the CEO and Co-Founder of Factorytalk. Responsible to develop the business vision and with the Management team and Co-Directors to lead the company. David is an experienced and trusted Advisor, Consultant and technical expert to the Pharmaceutical and Biotech industries in the areas of compliance and technology.

Margetts’ background spans shop floor integration and control through manufacturing execution and quality management systems up to enterprise systems, corporate operational improvement and regulatory compliance initiatives. Before moving to Asia in 2004, Margetts worked in Engineering and Validation for Industrial Technology Systems Ltd and in Engineering roles for AstraZeneca PLC. He is an ISPE certified trainer for Computer Validation (GAMP5) and in his work for Factorytalk and service and solution partners he has been responsible to manage long term highly complex and critical client assignments with the both the largest Pharma MNC’s globally and leading Asian players.

Has experience in providing numerous roles for Factorytalk and it’s partners such as: Managing Director, senior technical sales, solutions consulting, project management and systems engineering, vendor/partner/supplier contract negotiations, IT strategy consulting and business development. Pharma industry specifics include: computer validation / GAMP, GMP compliance, Data Integrity, regulatory standards and trends, production, laboratory and logistic processes
